Like Strawberry Jam


Like Strawberry Jam Canning strawberry jam is just easier and save a lot of money. This is the recipe I use, so about 8, (8 ounce) jars: 7 cups sugar 5 cups of mashed strawberries (about 8 cups whole) 4 tablespoons lemon juice 1 (1.75 ounces) fruit pectin powdered pectin and lemon juice 5 cups crushed strawberries to a boil over high heat bring to full rolling stirring often. Add sugar, stirring to full rolling boil can not get to mix for 1 minute. Skim off foam. Fill jars.Process in hot water bath canner for 10 minutes.
